Ziele: Beobachtung der Konzentration von IL6, IL10 und IL2 im Plasma bei Patienten mit chronischer allergischer Rhinitis, vor und nach der Akupunkturbehandlung. Methoden: Der Interleukinspiegel wurde vor und nach der Behandlung bei 30 gesunden Probanden (Gruppe A) und 90 Patienten mit chronischer allergischer Rhinitis (Gruppe B) mit erhöhtem IL10-Spiegel bestimmt. Dann wurde die Gruppe B in drei Untergruppen eingeteilt: 30 Patienten wurden mit realer Akupunktur (Gruppe B1) behandelt; 30 Patienten wurden mit Scheinakupunktur (Gruppe B2) behandelt und 30 Patienten wurden nicht behandelt (Gruppe B3).

Resultate: Die allergischen Versuchspersonen der Gruppe B1 zeigten im Vergleich mit der Kontrollgruppe eine signifikante Reduzierung des IL10 nach der spezifischen Akupunkturbehandlung (P < 0.05). Andererseits blieb der IL10-Spiegel sowohl bei den Patienten die mit Scheinakupunktur behandelt wurden (B2) als auch bei den nichtbehandelten Patienten (B3) unverändert hoch. Es wurde eine statistisch signifikante Veränderung der IL2-Werte nach Ablauf von 24h (P < 0.05) nach der realen Akupunkturbehandlung (Gruppe A, B1) festgestellt, obgleich die Werte innerhalb des Normbereichs verblieben. Der IL6-Spiegel zeigt keine Veränderung nach der Therapie. Schlussfolgerung: Die Akupunkturbehandlung kann bei der chronischen allergischen Rhinitis den IL10-Spiegel im Plasma reduzieren.
